Come one, come all and witness the most epic display of human creativity at the The Hunt and Gather Pop Markets inside the Lake County Fairgrounds. As you can see above, the Industrial Building was packed with people who came to view "the world's most astonishing artisans and curators" in an all day event.
On one hand the event was a delight for shoppers looking at antiques and handmade goods...
... as well as a destination for great music, food and wine.
An extremely tall man as well as jugglers walked the floor adding to the circus like atmosphere and delighting children young and old.
As shoppers happily perused the endless rows of handmade goods, roller derby girls challenged contestants to arm wrestling contests for St. Jude's House charity.
Art was also on display throughout the afternoon and evening along with mustached children...
Many Northwest Indiana businesses were on hand to show off their goods and services. Too many for me to list, but here are a few of the business cards I captured while covering the event. Please note the wonderfully designed poster for the event by Wooden Jacket Designs who also had a vendor booth.
Special thanks to Carey Rowell of Old Green Shutter Antiques for hiring me to cover her "epic display of human creativity". She is pictured below in a fun moment with the roller derby girls. The next Hunt and Gather will take place on June 6th and 7th so mark your calendar. Visit the Old Green Shutters Antique store in the downtown Crown Point Square for details.
