When I met Jalynn and her parents at a consultation for her senior pictures, one thing was clear. They definitely wanted to do a nighttime Chicago skyline photograph!! Sure, nothing like the excitement of Chicago on a cool summer night. We planned her Chicago Session so we would start shooting before dusk around the downtown area and then finish up at the lakefront in the evening for the above image. It was all hugs at the end because we all enjoyed ourselves. It truly was a wonderful session. Good times all around!!
Jalynn is interested in journalism and she brought her vintage Minolta film camera along for some images in front of the Chicago Tribune building.
Urban street shoot was another idea we were shooting for in her senior session. We used the the windy city's never ending backdrop of skyscrapers for many photos as well as the landmark Chicago Theater...
While capturing the city was certainly a goal, we also wanted to make sure we got some pretty portraits of the star of the day. The Millennium Park garden gave us some pretty in pink background colors and a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of Michigan Avenue.
This is merely a sneak peek at Jalynn's high school senior session in Chicago. Stay tuned here and the SBV Photography Facebook page for more update.
