A Masquerade Ball was held at The Patrician Banquet Center this past weekend to benefit the Northwest Indiana Cancer Kids Foundation. It was a wonderful event with great food, raffles and musical entertainment.
Dignitaries from the area were on hand to lend their support as well as couples looking for a night of dancing and some adult dress up complete with exotic masks and formal wear.
The Arthur Murray Dance Studio performed and raffled off memberships to their establishment in Merrillville. A trio of musicians sang acoustically before the night ended in dancing and the announcement of the silent auction winners.
We all knew we were there for a serious cause and a few tears were shed as families told of their experiences. However, the mood was one of celebration as funds were raised and everyone enjoyed seeing each other in costume.
A big thank you to the organizers for having me there to photograph their event. At the end of this article I will have a link to a slideshow movie of images from the event. Be on the lookout for their next fundraising event or visit their online store to help support a great cause.
